Why Trade Links?
Trading links with other web sites is an important part of any Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy. You’ve built your website spam free, with solid meta tags and appropriate keyword saturization. You’ve submitted your site to all the major search engines and you’re listed. But when you do a search in a major search engine, you find that there are millions of search results for the keywords for which you want to be found and you’re nowhere near the top of those results!
Another VERY important consideration that most major search engines (certainly Google) take into consideration is your sites “popularity”. This is also referred to as “Page Rank”. The philosophy is this… the more sites that have a link to your site, the more relevant your site must be! The most relevant sites appear at the top of the search results!
Building site popularity/page rank can be time consuming. Many other link exchange sites, or link farms, will offer a “quick fix” to this problem by offering you thousands of return links instantly. Such “link farms” are considered spammy by many search engines and could result in your site being banned from the search results. Avoid spamming at all costs.
MonsterLinkSwap.com offers you a directory of thousands of websites who are all wanting to exchange links with other sites. You benefit from these link trades in that your site popularity is boosted while avoiding a “spammy” stereotype from the major search engines.
Good luck in your SEO strategy!

How Do I Qualify For MonsterLinkSwap.com?
If you are a webmaster, or are in charge of adding or removing reciprocal links for a website, you qualify for MonsterLinkSwap.com’s Link Exchange Directory.
We verify links using a spider. If your site does not show the actual link to your partners site, but contains a link to a database which then points to your partners site, our spider will not be able to verify your link and we may not be a good match for you. Such link pages do not provide "page rank" value to your link partners as these links cannot be indexed by the search engines.

The URL contact email addresses will be used to notify you of link requests and links that have been added to your site.

What Are Filters?
Many webmasters only want to exchange links with sites that contain similar content to their own. The theory is that your page rank is influenced more by sites linking to you with similar content. When you sign up, you can choose to filter the sites with which you would like to exchange links. The filtering is accomplished through the categorization of each website registered with us. You decide which categories or sub-categories you would like to allow or disallow in your link trading strategy and we take care of the rest!

_________________________________________________________________________________
How Do Filters Work?
We only allow sites to send link trade requests with sites who have allowed their category or sub-category – those sites who have not filtered their category or sub-category.
By using the filter option, you will limit the number of requests you receive, but each request will be relevant to your web sites categorization.
Even if you have signed up for filtering, you may still request links with any site who has not filtered your category (even if you have filtered their category).

How Do I Trade Links?
The link trade process is easy. There are 4 steps in the process involving 2 parties, A and B:
1. Party A requests a link trade with party B.
2. Party B accepts or denies the link request.
3. Party A adds B’s link to their site.
4. Party B adds A’s link to their site.
Step 1: To request a link trade, simply browse our directory by category, sub category, or by specific keywords using the search facility. Check the boxes of the sites you would like to trade links with and add those sites to your link cart.
Once you’re done shopping for sites, go to the “Link Cart” tab and click “Send Requests”. The sites you selected are automatically notified that they have a link request.
Step 2: To accept or deny a link request, login to your account and look through your link jobs on the “Link Jobs” tab. When you click the “reply” link, you have the option to then “Accept” or “Deny” the link request.
Steps 3 and 4: To add a link to your site, login to your account and look through your link jobs on the “Link Jobs” tab. When you click “Link”, you see a screen that displays all the information you need to build the link on your site, including the actual html if you choose to use it. Once the link has been added to your site, simply enter the url where you added the link in the space provided and click “Submit Link”. The url you enter must be the exact page on your site where you placed your partners link or our spider will not be able to verify the link. Our system will verify that the link has been added and notify your link partner.
To get a better feel for these steps, feel free to take our Unguided Tour.

I Added My Partners Link - Your Spider Isn't Finding it! Why?
There are several things you should verify if our spider is not finding your partners link.
1. Make sure you are entering the specific url of the link page on your site where you added the actual html link to your link exchange partner. If you tell us the wrong page, or your home page instead of the link page, then our spider will not find the link to your partner.
2. Make sure your html code is correct. If you omit a / in the http:// for example, or link to your partners link page instead of the page they have listed in our directory, our spider will not find the link.
3. The "www" does matter. Since the page rank for "www.yourdomain.com" can be different than the page rank for "yourdomain.com", you need to code the url to your link partner as they entered it into our directory. That is how they prefer to be linked to and our spider checks for the link in that format.
4. You might check your link page to make sure it is available. If the page is down temporarily, for whatever reason, then we won't be able to open the page to look for the link.
5. If your link pages do not directly link to your partners site but go through a database first, then our spider will not find the link to your partner. Sites that use this type of linking strategy do not qualify for MonsterLinkSwap.com and do not provide "page rank" value to their link partners as these links cannot be indexed by the search engines.
6. If you have validated the above 3 items and still cannot get our spider to find your partners link, write us and include the url you entered in item 1 above, and the link partners site in item 2 above.

How Do I Remove Worthless Jobs From My Jobs List?
There will be sites that will be unresponsive. If you would like to keep your jobs list clean, you can “inactivate” jobs on which you don’t expect to get a response.
Or perhaps you have successfully completed steps 1-3, but never receive the final return link. In that situation, you may decide to take down the link to your partner and “inactivate” the job.
It’s up to you how you manage your jobs.
Jobs on which your partner must act are shown on the “Their Jobs” subtab under the “Link Jobs” tab.
